This Research Publications Portal, created by Jain Academy of Scholars, is to make available recent research papers by scholars all over the world on selected topics on foundations of Jain philosophy and to give visibility to research and study carried out by JAS Fellows. To start with, papers published in National and International journals since the year 2000 and some important earlier papers, synopsis of thesis, and preface of books on 20 topics (listed in the portal), published by authors all over the world will be uploaded. Magazine articles and Newspaper clips will not be included at present. Scholars are requested to submit pdf files which will be uploaded after reviewing their relevance to JAS activities.The Jain Academy of Scholars was established in June 2020 with the main objective of carrying out and promoting study and research on Jainism by “supporting concepts of Jain Darshan with scientific methodology and logic” and “enriching scientific theories by introducing Jain concepts”. JAS is a unique forum where exchange of ideas related to Jain philosophy and its practical applications takes place between scholars globally. It was created with the vision that it will act as a ‘Think Tank’ and carry out research in Jain philosophy.
Currently about 50 renowned Jain scholars from India and abroad are involved in this academic activity. Several Sant scholars representing different Jain sects are Mentors of the Academy. The Academy holds weekly on-line lectures by world announced experts on various aspects of Jain philosophy and science. When serious discussion is required, Round Table Discussions are held to have various points of views to arrive at some logical consensus.
